This Notice explains how we obtain, use and disclose your personal information, in accordance with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”).
At COR Concepts (and including this website, POPIAct-Compliance) we are committed to protecting your privacy and to ensure that your personal information is collected and used properly, lawfully and transparently.
The information we collect
We collect and process your personal information mainly to contact you for the purposes of understanding your requirements, and delivering services accordingly. For this purpose we will collect contact details including your name and organisation where applicable.
We collect information directly from you where you provide us with your personal details. Where possible, we will inform you what information you are required to provide to us and what information is optional.
Website usage information may be collected using “cookies” which allows us to collect standard internet visitor usage information.
How we use your information
We will use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and agreed with you. In addition, where necessary your information may be retained for legal or research purposes.

- To confirm and verify your identity or to verify that you are an authorised user for security purposes;

Your Rights: Access to information
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. To do this, simply contact us at the numbers/addresses as provided on our website and specify what information you require. We will need a copy of your ID document to confirm your identity before providing details of your personal information.
Please note that any such access request may be subject to a payment of a legally allowable fee.
Correction of your information
You have the right to ask us to update, correct or delete your personal information. We will require a copy of your ID document to confirm your identity before making changes to personal information we may hold about you. We would appreciate it if you would keep your personal information accurate.
Definition of personal information
According to the Act ‘‘personal information’’ means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where it is applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person. Further to the POPI Act, COR Concepts also includes the following items as personal information:
All addresses including residential, postal and email addresses.
Change of name – for which we require copies of the marriage certificate or official change of name document issued by the state department.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation within 48 hours prior to the booking date is charged @ 50% (i.e. full payment)
Full payment with a cancellation within 24 hours of the booking date
Cancellation during your stay, full day for the next day is required.
We only allow guest who have made a full payment to stay at our lodge

RESERVATIONS; CHECKING IN & ACCESS CONTROL
RESERVATIONS:
All reservations during office hours to be done through the booking clerk (Elbie Engelbrecht) at 083 304 7239
After hour reservations (walk ins) to be done through receptionists (083 308 0041)
All walk ins to be communicated to booking clerk immediately (before end of shift) via WhatsApp and email.
Quote to be emailed to guest
Deposit required at specified date
Full amount to be paid before guest checks in
RESERVATION POLICY
Accommodation to be confirmed with 50% deposits and the balance paid on the arrival day’
Email proof of payment to
Only EFT payments are accepted.
All prices include VAT

CANCELLATION POLICY

PAYMENTS
All payments to be done BEFORE guest check in (EFT).
CHECKING IN:
Proof of payment to be provided to reception.
Key and rules given to guest.
New guests to be accompanied to door of room. Not required to do this for repeat guests.
CHECKING OUT:
Guest to return key to reception. Guest will then be issued with a gate pass card for final exit
If guest leaves earlier, key to be handed in to Security at gate (see access control) or reception deposit box
RULES
Our check in time is 14h00, please report to reception on arrival.
Departure time is strictly 10h00. Late departure will carry a penalty charge
Occupancy is limited to the number of people agreed as per reservation and strictly limited to the maximum bed capacity per room.
NO SMOKING IN THE ROOMS
When leaving the room, please keep the doors and windows closed to prevent any animals entering your room.
Please Inform us of any breakages should you encounter any on your arrival.
Any breakage or damage during your stay will be billed to you
You will find a list of inventories on your table please check all your inventory provided and report any shortages.
No firewood is provided to the guests
Fire to be made only in designated fire places
Sound level should be kept at reasonable level
Swimming pool used at own risk and children may only swim under adult’s supervision
Use electricity and water wisely and switch off air conditioners when you leave the room
If guests stay longer than 5 days’ linen will be changed third day of the week or when dirty
Do not move furniture around in the rooms nor take any furniture outside the rooms
Should any rules of the lodge not be adhered to, we reserve to the right to admission
Misbehaviour will not be tolerated, and guests failing to adhere to the rules will be asked to vacate the premises immediately with no refund
Extra mattress will be charged R300.00
INDEMNITY
Any guest causing damage or loss to any fixed or movable property shall be liable to repairs or replace such damage or loss.
Ben Alberts’ management accepts no responsibility whatsoever for loss or damage to guest’s private property during their stay
Guests are responsible for the insurance of their personal items.
Ben Albert’s shall not be responsible for any damage, losses or injuries during guest’s activities, walks, game drive, hunting, in the pool or on excursions.
For any serious ailments or injury, medical services are available at Medi-clinic in town.
VISITORS RESPONSIBILITY
Respect the privacy of other guests
Comply with all rules and instructions of Ben Albert’s Lodge
Report any irregular deeds by other guests
Treat other guests and Ben Albert’s staff with respect
Use the facilities with responsibility and accountability in accordance with the lodge rules.
Children should be under parents or guardian’s supervision at all times.
GENERAL RULES
Do not take out towels out of the rooms (no towels to be taken to the swimming pool) use your own towel to the swimming pool.
No pets allowed on the property or in the accommodation at any time.
No smoking allowed in the rooms.
Please do not attempt to touch or play with snakes when seen on the property.

You are advised to do WALK-THROUGH before the day of function
All vehicles to be parked in the parking area!

Game drives can be arranged by appointment
Early mornings and late afternoons are the preferred time
Minimum of 4 persons per drive
Maximum of 9 per drive
Drives last approximately 2 hours
R100 p/adult and R50/kids from 2 – 12
Passengers partake in game drive at their own risk
